Community Projects

The Oasis Trust has been involved in a number of community projects under the umbrella of the Masterton District Council. The latest has been the formation of paths around Henley Lake in Masterton.

Miniature Train

Oasis took over running the miniature train in Queen Elizabeth Park - Christmas 2000. We have expanded the operation selling ice creams and drinks with long term plans to expand facilities on the Island.

The pictured locomotive is a scale model of an NZR DG Class Engine which ran on the main Wairarapa Line in 1955. Track length is 350 metres, 15 inch gauge.

Saw Milling

God has opened up many opportunities for us to serve our community and the other local Churches. One way has been with Martin Hunt and a Portable Saw Mill seen milling timber for the Kids Playground Project in Masterton in 1999.
